Auditing Stages:
Stage 1: Basic Information
Information Packet Sent to Organization An organization that is interested in having an audit of its emergency plans will be sent a packet including specific items needed about (1) the existing emergency plan (2) key personnel involved, (3) the plan itself and (4) a questionnaire that needs to be filled out and returned.
Stage 2: Pre-Evaluation Report
Report Prepared Prior to Onsite
Visit The information obtained from Stage 1 will be analyzed to include (1) self assessment of the organizations emergency plan (2) a review of the plans strong points (3) those areas in need of improvement and (4) specific persons and sites that we would like to talk with and visit.
Stage 3: On Site Visit
Confirm and Complete Information
The aim of this stage is to obtain a complete a picture as is possible by (1) meeting with persons involved in the development of the emergency plan (2) see the physical facilities and manpower affected (3) understand the organizational processes that will be affected and (4) obtain informal information relevant to the auditing.
Stage 4: Audit Report
CEQMTM Analysis of Emergency Plan
A report will be presented based on the methodology and measures employed in the CEQMTM audit system.
Stage 5: Feedback
Key Person Feedback
The Audit report will include a feedback mechanism for key personnel involved in the development and operation of the emergency plan. This is incorporated in another site visit.
Stage 6: Revamping Emergency Plan
Discretionary Application for Plan Development
Provides options to develop practical and sensible guidelines and operational protocols to improve the company’s emergency plans. Includes developing and training teams that will implement, update and improve the organizations’ emergency plan. |
